JOB SUMMARY:

The Valet Attendant greets arriving guests with a smile and an attentive attitude, interacts and assist guests in a courteous and efficient manner. Must have a spontaneous desire to assist others, anticipate guests needs and provide a positive memorable experience for every guest. The Valet Attendant parks and retrieves guest vehicles. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles from guests and completes valet tickets.
  • Parks vehicles in appropriate area and places vehicle keys with attached completed valet ticket in the key drop box located in the parking area.
  • Handles guest vehicle safely and cautiously at all times.
  • Provides excellent customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with team members and Valet Manager.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
  • At all times acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Saracen Casino Resort.
  • Responsible for driving company shuttle type vehicles to provide transportation for guests.
  • Keep informed of promotional packages and relays this information to guests.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Must be 21 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with minimal Department of Motor Vehicles point system.
  • Previous valet parking experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to drive all types of vehicles.
  • Applicants will be subject to additional drug screenings both random and possibly annual. Applicants will also be subject to motor vehicle checks on a regular basis to ensure they have a valid license and insurance and minimal/limited driving infractions.
  • Applicants must be able to substantiate a safe driving record within the parameters acceptable to our liability insurance carrier.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
  • Ability to; define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid Saracen Nation license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.

  • Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodations and be able to maneuver to all

areas of the casino.

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Light lifting.
  • Must be able to effectively understand and communicate to candidates and employees.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
