2. Estimating
  • Oversee proposal development for customer submissions, ensuring all required components meet company standards (scope summary, inclusions/exclusions, assumptions, bid letters, and pricing).
  • Proactively identify and resolve estimating challenges by ensuring RFIs, bills of materials, and scope summaries are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure ongoing cost estimates are maintained throughout the project life cycle to align with actual performance.
  • Monitor system data and reports to track variances between the original estimate, approved change proposals, and actual costs.
  • Support accurate budget development, cost control, and profitability forecasting from pre-construction through completion.
3. Electrical Design
  • Provide conceptual direction for load analysis and one-line diagrams that meet project requirements.
  • Approve equipment selection and layout to ensure alignment with project needs and budget constraints.
  • Review redline drawings to confirm optimal electrical layout and adherence to specifications.
  • Apply electrical theory to resolve design issues and ensure all work meets applicable codes.
  • Identify opportunities for value engineering to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
4. Project Execution
  • Lead project kickoff meetings to communicate scope, strategy, and expectations.
  • Conduct job walks and site visits to address field issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Monitor progress through project meetings and ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Oversee safety performance by reviewing audits and incident trends, taking corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of project closeout documentation.
  • Maintain responsibility for overall financial performance, including:
    • Budget management – Approve and track project budgets, change orders, and schedule of values.
    • WIP management – Review monthly Work in Progress (WIP) reports to accurately forecast job costs, margin, and revenue recognition with no fade.
    • Cost forecasting – Analyze financial performance and proactively identify risks or opportunities to improve profitability.
    • Billing and cash flow – Verify billings for accuracy, ensure positive cash flow, and assist with collections exceeding 60 days.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor negotiations to ensure complete scopes and competitive pricing.
  • Drive overall project strategy to meet safety, quality, schedule, and financial goals.
  • Provide leadership and communication across project teams to ensure accountability and success.
5. Talent Development
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen project execution capabilities.
  • Build and manage a high-performing project team culture focused on collaboration and results.
  • Promote professional growth and leadership development among direct reports.
Knowledge (Facts and Principles Required for Success)
  • Strong mathematical and financial analysis skills.
  • Deep understanding of electrical theory, code, and construction methods.
  • Knowledge of general construction processes and project management principles.

  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills.
  • Effective conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and detail-oriented with a sense of urgency.
  • Team-oriented, accountable, and committed to company goals and values.
