Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist for one of our divisions. The Payroll Specialist will have divisional responsibility for all day-to-day, delivery and execution of payroll duties for their division.

This position is based in Johns Creek, Georgia, and requires daily on-site work (no remote or hybrid).

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing The Quikrete Companies payrolls, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Completes payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely completion of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
• Assists with audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Payroll Skills/Abilities:

• 2+ years’ experience with payroll systems
• Experience should include preparation, balancing, understanding of internal controls, and payroll tax reporting.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Kronos Dimensions experience preferred, but not required.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-volume payroll environment
