Job Description Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Location Tupelo, MS
Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule 12-hour Evening Shift (3pm - 3am), 7 on/7 off schedule; weekend and holiday rotation required.
Job Description The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) will perform laboratory tests, analyze results, and communicate findings to healthcare professionals. This role requires a focus on patient care and collaboration with medical teams.
Responsibilities - Conduct laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure all lab equipment is properly operated and maintained.
- Analyze test results and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to discuss results and implications for patient care.
- Maintain compliance with laboratory standards and regulations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Minimum of 1 year experience in a large facility, preferably with over 400 beds.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist from AMT or ASCP required.
- IVS experience preferred.
- BLS certification through AHA required.
