Job Description

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

• Manages and resolves day-to-day operational issues such as import documentation discrepancies, classification, valuation, etc.
• Broker management
• HS classification
• Monitors changes to the Canadian tariff and duty rates
• Maintains electronic recordkeeping of documentation and data for customs entries and amendments (B3 & B2)
• Extracts and analyzes trade data from CARM, customs brokers, and internal software to perform internal compliance audits, resolve identified issues, and perform corrective actions
• Performs CUSMA and other free trade qualification analysis
• Assists in all projects relative to CBSA requests & audits to ensure responses are timely and accurate
• Builds and maintains excellent working relationships with internal and external partners
• Provide support for all other duties within the department as necessary

Requirements

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of deep experience working with Canadian imports and CBSA regulations
• Knowledge of tariff classification, country of origin, valuation and the CARM client portal
• Experience with Canada's Trade Agreements, including CUSMA, CETA, CPTPP, etc.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative
• Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple high priority tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full professional fluency in English; both verbal and written
• Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Familiar with SAP & other enterprise systems
• Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist a plus
• US CBP import experience a plus
• Working hours are daytime in US central time zone

• Competitive Salary The pay range takes into account skills, experience, education, and location. It is not common to be hired at or near the top of the range; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual pay range is between $90,000 - $105,000. Cash compensation is one piece of our competitive total rewards package.
