Position Summary
Real House Inc. is seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our residential facilities, staff, and clients. This role requires strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to effectively manage situations within a behavioral health environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and secure assigned facility, including entrances, exits, and surrounding areas
Conduct routine patrols of the property
Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized activity
Respond to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances in a calm and professional manner
Utilize de-escalation techniques when interacting with clients or visitors
Enforce company policies, procedures, and house rules
Document and report all incidents, unusual activity, and safety concerns
Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and emergency services when needed
Assist with maintaining a safe and structured environment for clients
Qualifications
Valid NJ SORA License (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous security experience preferred (especially in residential, healthcare, or behavioral health settings)
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic
Certifications (Required / Preferred)
CPR / First Aid Certification (required or must obtain within 30 days)
De-escalation / Crisis Prevention training (preferred; training may be provided)
Work Environment
Residential behavioral health setting
May involve interaction with individuals in recovery or with mental health needs
Requires standing, walking, and periodic patrols
Schedule & Expectations
Must be available for assigned shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
As an essential employee, attendance during scheduled shifts is required regardless of holidays or weather conditions
Compensation
Hourly rate: $17–$22/hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Must pass background check in accordance with NJ regulations
Must maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
Must comply with all Real House Inc. policies and procedures
