Overview
The Seasonal Garden Center associates will assist us in creating 'living memories.' This position is fast paced and changes frequently. This position is part customer service, part gardener, and part cashier - with duties to include watering and feeding plants, grounds maintenance, assisting customers. The ideal candidate will possess an open mind, initiative, and endurance. The position is expected to last from late March to mid to late June. For those individuals who display extraordinary skills, teamwork, and attendance, every reasonable effort will be made to retain for as long as possible.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain an organized and stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and ensuring product displays are visually appealing.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote featured items.
• Utilize basic math skills to assist with inventory management and stock levels.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when necessary.
• Help customers load items into their vehicle.
• Unload deliveries in an organized manor.
• Watering, dead heading, and maintaining grounds.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective customer interactions.
• Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus, along with basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• A willingness to learn about products and services offered in-store, including retail math concepts.
• All employees are required to be available to work a minimum of every other weekend and work evenings, not exceed 8PM.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
