Description
Imagine shaping the future of data-driven decision making across Apple’s Places portfolio. As a Manager in Data Governance & Management within the Places organization, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring our data is trusted, well-governed, and fit for purpose at scale. At Apple, your leadership will enable high-quality insights that power strategic planning, operational excellence, and long-term portfolio decisions. Minimum Qualifications
8–12 years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics, or the creation of enterprise digital systems.
8+ years of people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
Strong understanding of data governance concepts, including data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
Proven ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex, global enterprise environments.
Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, IWMS/CAFM systems, or real estate-related data domains.
Strong understanding of Architectural or engineering best practices with an ability to influence BIM standards and guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience partnering closely with Engineering teams to operationalize governance through technology and platforms.
Strong program management skills, including dependency management and risk mitigation.
Experience working with data cataloging, data quality, master data management, or metadata management tools.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and execution.
Track record of building trusted partnerships across business, technology, design, and analytics teams.
