Youll be responsible for managing procedure scheduling, providing patients with preparation instructions, and ensuring accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Your role supports a wide variety of cardiac interventions, and youll be an essential communication link between physicians, patients, and hospital departments./ppThis is an in-office, non-clinical position that requires a high level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and a compassionate, patient-first approach./ph3Day-to-Day Responsibilities/h3ulliSchedule inpatient and outpatient hospital procedures across cardiothoracic, vascular, and surgical services, including major cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and robotic surgeries, as well as specialized co-surgical and endovascular procedures./liliReceive and process procedure requests via Epic In Basket, email, and approved request forms./liliAssign CPT and ICD-10 codes and coordinate procedure dates with patients, providers, and hospital teams./liliCommunicate procedure details, updates, and changes with surgeons, nursing staff, referral coordinators, and hospital departments./liliSupport referrals, insurance authorizations, rescheduling, and cancellations to keep cases moving forward./liliPrepare and document procedures and related notes in the EMR./liliSchedule clinic appointments as needed to support hospital procedure workflows./liliMaintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies at all times./liliPerform related duties as assigned./li/ulh3What Youll Need to Succeed/h3h4Qualifications/h4ulliHigh School Diploma or GED required/liliMinimum 6 months of medical office experience required/liliPrevious experience in cardiology or scheduling hospital procedures is highly preferred/liliStrong ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment/liliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills/liliFamiliarity with EMR systems and basic healthcare terminology/liliKnowledge of insurance plans and referral processes is helpful/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3ulliLocation: 910 W 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204/liliSchedule: MondayFriday/liulliOffice-based role with moderate noise level/liliFrequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment/liliOccasional travel may be required/liliReasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities/li/ul/ulh3Join Our Team/h3pIf youre highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by patient-centered work, we invite you to apply.
