Duties (Oregon & Washington Territory): Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share within your assigned territory, focusing on heavy equipment sales. Identify and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and targeted marketing efforts, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential clients. Conduct detailed product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase equipment features and benefits tailored to client needs. Manage existing accounts by providing exceptional customer service, understanding client requirements, and upselling additional products or services. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to close deals effectively while maintaining profitability. Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and analyze sales data for strategic planning. Collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives, product launches, and territory management strategies to maximize sales performance.
Requirements: Proven experience in outside sales, particularly in heavy equipment or related B2B sales environments. Strong management skills with the ability to oversee territory development and account management effectively. Demonstrated success in business development, lead generation, and direct sales techniques. Excellent negotiation skills paired with a customer-focused approach to foster long-term relationships. Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce or similar platforms for managing customer data and sales pipelines. Ability to conduct technical product demos and explain complex machinery features clearly. Exceptional analysis skills to interpret market trends, customer needs, and sales metrics for strategic decision-making. Strong communication skills for cold calling, inside sales support, and retail interactions when necessary.
