Job Title: Construction Laborer
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated construction laborers to perform demolition work and support plumbing and HVAC installations. As a vital part of the team, you will be responsible for removing drywall, flooring, fixtures, piping, ductwork, and other materials as directed. You will also prep work areas for mechanical crews, which includes material handling and cleanup. Additionally, you will use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, load and unload materials, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform demolition work to support plumbing and HVAC installations.
• Remove drywall, flooring, fixtures, piping, ductwork, and other materials as directed.
• Prep work areas for mechanical crews, including material handling and cleanup.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Load, unload, and move materials around the jobsite.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all jobsite safety rules and company procedures.
• Work alongside plumbers and HVAC technicians to keep projects on schedule.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction or demolition work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Willingness to work in commercial environments such as offices, schools, healthcare facilities, or mechanical spaces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with carpentry and concrete work.

Work Environment

Work takes place on commercial construction and renovation sites, which may include indoor mechanical rooms, active buildings, or remodel areas. You can expect exposure to dust, noise, and physical labor, ensuring a hands-on and engaging work experience.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
