Graul's Wine & Spirit Shop-Beer, Wine & Spirits Sales Clerk

Overview
We’re on the lookout for an experienced  Beer, Wine & Spirits Sales Clerk  who’s passionate about beverages and customer service. If you have a knack for retail sales, enjoy engaging with customers, and have a solid background in alcohol sales, this is your chance to shine! In this role, you’ll help customers find the perfect drinks, promote our products through demos and upselling, and keep the sales floor organized and inviting.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting beer, wine, and spirits that meet their preferences and needs.
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about different beverages and new arrivals.
• Maintain an attractive and well-stocked sales floor through merchandising and stocking activities.
• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for transactions, returns, and inventory management.
• Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities.
• Promote upselling by suggesting complementary products or premium options to boost sales.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering recommendations, and maintaining friendly communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales of  beer, wine, spirits
• Strong knowledge of alcohol products, including brands, varieties, and proper serving practices.
• Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic retail math is essential.
• Ability to perform product demos and engage customers confidently while maintaining phone etiquette when needed.
• Ability to lift and stock products (some heavy lifting required)
• Comfortable standing for long periods and moving around the store
• Must be at least 21 years old
