ACT/SAT Math & English/Reading Prep Tutor (Virtual, 8am-10am,12PM-3PM ET) Online Part-Time Tutoring - Exciting Opportunity for Teachers! Perform VIRTUAL-only Reading/English AND Math tutoring for K-12 students across the United States with flexible hours and higher pay than most tutoring companies. This role doesn’t require you to be in a classroom to work with students across the country. This role currently applies to teachers with experience teaching ACT/SAT Prep for 8th-12th grade in BOTH Math and English/Reading. We are seeking candidates that are available from 8AM-10AM EST and 12pm-3pm Eastern. Tutored by Teachers generally pays up to a rate of $36.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis) for HS math plus a 10% bonus and this total amount is meant to cover tutoring, light preparation, logging-in early to start a session, and session notes. For delivering a one hour tutoring session, that is $39.60 per session! Our pay rate is often more than 2X the rate many tutors receive for their services. For secondary math, this may be increased to $40 per hour of tutoring. Please note for some other engagements where lessons/materials are provided to significantly reduce instructional lift, the rates are slightly reduced - e.g., $30-$32 per hour of tutoring + 10% bonus. This role requires you to have 3 years of Math and/or ELA lead teaching experience in a U.S., K-12, public, private, and/or charter school. We are generally seeking U.S.-credentialed teachers. Exceptions may be considered -e.g., for retired teachers with recently lapsed credential and classroom experience; teachers with significant teaching experience; etc. You will need to be able to instruct BOTH Math and English/Reading You will need to have daytime availability (12pm-3pm Eastern). Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom Bonus points for: Experience with remediation, intervention or small group instruction Experience with secondary math SPED or ELL teaching experience Bi-Lingual AP course experience (any APs) helpful! This rate may be modified for engagements where teachers are provided lessons (e.g., $30-32 per instructional hour +10%).
