Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firm in the US, is adding an Accounting Assistant to their Durnan Group team in Rockville Centre, NY. The primary responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant would be focused around support of Sales and Account Management team to generating new business as well as maintain existing business. Under minimal supervision, this employee performs technical office support functions to include a broad working knowledge of standard office equipment, department operations and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Demonstrate good judgment in knowing when to handle a problem or refer it to a higher level. The ideal candidate should be highly comfortable working with numbers, demonstrating strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and confidence handling financial data on a daily basis. *This role requires working on-site at our Rockville, NY office 5 days a week. Essential Functions Provide Administrative support to Sales team and Account Management as assigned Assist the Accounting team with processing accounts receivable Renew and bill policies Generate and reconcile commission statements Keep immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts and problems identified/potential problems; recommends corrective actions to immediate supervisor Competencies and Qualifications An ideal candidate will have: Two years of executive/administrative support Proficiency in Microsoft office products Demonstrate polished interpersonal skills, high energy and flexibility Excellent verbal and written communication skills This range represents the estimated low and high end of the salary range for this position.
